Welcome to the Moldenhauer's Web Site

It seems increasingly difficult to find the time to write as many letters as we would like, but we would like to do a better job of keeping in touch with friends and family that is just not possible with instant messages, cell phone calls while on the road, or e-mail messages at 5:30 in the morning.  We have set up the site so that all of us can offer some personalized content and it is Anne and Mitch's hope that Frank and Paul will learn a thing or two while exercising some creativity.  We hope you will find something that you did not know and that is some way will feel a little closer and connected as a result of visiting our site.

The website is set up with a page for each of us and a web log for all of us to participate on.  If we have gone on any special trips or if there as been a family event recently, we will post those photos on the "Latest Trip Photos" page.  We will keep our favorite photos on the "Other Photos" page.  We will try to keep this front page fresh with links to interesting web sites or other discoveries that we would like to share.

For starters, there is an interesting speech digest produced by Hillsdale College that I would recommend everyone reading.  It is called  Imprimis .

It is no wonder that US citizens aren't too approving of Congress or the President: it seems they can't do much.   I was rencently reading a Kiplinger column "Setting Our Priorities" and took note that 65% of the US budget is almost untouchable in the form of transfer payments (translation: government taking care of me instead of me taking care of myself) and interest (caused itself by irresponsible behavior).  Perhaps it is about time our attitudes changed one person at a time to the point  where we are all once again offended by the notion that we can't take care of ourselves and our families.

Now for a little encouragement...

"Whatever is right, whatever is true, whatever is bound to be excellent, let your mind dwell on these things."
Philippians 4:8 (paraphrased by Mitch
