Happy Easter to everyone.  What a joyous day it is...a monumental day to reflect on the wonder of God's love that is so deep that He would not only be mindful of us, but die for us.  May we all take a clue from God and be more loving to one another (and that includes an admonition to me as well).

What a whirlwind it has been since my last post.  The boys have started baseball and this means that we have games or practices about 6 days a week.  There hasn't been much time to update the site or much else.  To make the schedule a little tighter, I have been assigned the accounting for a new company called Natina Products, LLC.  This has added a lot to my duties at the office, but it is an exciting project.  The name Natina comes from the words Natural Patina.  It is a product that Foster-Gardner, Inc. has developed that restores the natural patina look to rocks and soils that have been disturbed by excavation.  It also works on concrete and we hope that it will be a big seller.  I'll post later with a link to the web site once it is finished.

Becasue the boys will be off school next week, we are taking the opportunity to use some award tickets on Southwest Airlines and fly to Salt Lake City.  We will be staying and skiing in Park City.  It has been at least 15 years since I last went skiing, so I'm hoping I don't get hurt.  In an effort to get in shape, I have been riding my bike to work.  Even though I get ribbed about it at the office, it has been a great way to exercise as it takes me about 30 minutes each way.  I get in an hour of exercise each day, but it only costs me an extra half an hour of time since my normal drive takes 15 minutes each way.  It has made me realize just how badly I need the exercise.

Ever since joining Foster-Gardner, Inc., part of my job has been to set up the annual trip to Las Vegas.  We take everyone in the company and I'm excited about this year's trip because I've been able to get us booked in August at The Palazzo .  It looks like a very beautiful place.

After a little absence, it was good to get out and fly the Cherokee.  It would sure be nice to find the time to fit in a trip to Brian Head, UT or Mammoth for some skiing.  Now that Frank has tasted skiing, he is ready to go at a moments notice.

Baseball practice has begun.  We now enter in the season of activities most every night of the week.  It is always fun to visit with the many parents we have met over the years, but it can be exhausting.  Both boys are now going to www.sluggerstrainingcenter.com and it has made a big improvement in their hitting.

I was reappointed to the Coachella Planning Comission.  It has been great fun to be involved with the City of Coachella and I'm glad to be a part of it again.  This term last for four years.   I expect that the next four years we will be reviewing a lot of commercial projects as the City has completed numerous housing developments and it is now time to catch up to all those roof tops with commercial services.  Even though the economy has slowed down, the commercial work and public construction should pick up.  Details on the Planning Commission can be found www.coachella.org .
